“ I heard great things about Savoy and finally decided to try it out. I was told Deli has a nice vegetarian selection. A bit disappointing the only veggie selection is the grilled cheese sandwich. Admittedly, it was good. Theoretically, you can build your own sandwich, but again not a lot of variety for a vegetarian preference. The wine selection is good if you are looking for a midprice wine 13 to 30 range. Overall, not the place I would run into for a quick shopping trip. Items offered are of high quality but not enough variety or choices. Has the basics covered, but thats about it. My corner mom pop store offers more items for lower prices, so I will likely stick with that for my daily routine. What I did like about the Savoy Market is the spacious atmosphere, ability to sit down to eat the sandwich have not tried outdoor patio yet and to drink a beverage from the coffeetea counter. This place is definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. ”
“ Wonderful friendly atmosphere, nice coffee and selection of quality groceries, especially meats and ice cream. ”
“ Specialty items are both rare and of excellent quality. The staff is helpful and friendly and we love the board games in the cafe! Theres a friendly vibe here, with smiling faces and lots of locals walking in and enjoying the company. There are so many choices plus local treats to savor! Plus you can find some quiet tables to sit outside too. ”
“ I just found this establishment after living in the area for a while. It is a beautiful little market with some general convenience store style groceries. It has a coffee station, so you can get your favorite coffee beverage. It also has an artesian sandwich deli where they will hand make sandwiches for you. They keep the insideoutside very clean. The customer service is topnotch! Highly recommended! ”
“ I cant say enough good things about Alameda Island Savoy Market! The staff here is truly amazing always welcoming and helpful. The deli offers a fantastic selection of frozen food, all organic and farmtotable, which is a huge plus for me. Their coffee is exceptionally fresh, adding a perfect start to my morning. Thank you! I loved that their service is deeply rooted in the community, giving a warm, local feel to every visit. Ill definitely continue to visit and support this wonderful place. Highly recommended! ”
“ Just stopped in while I waited for a ride to pick me up. Ordered a Cappuccino. Literally the best Cappuccino that Ive ever had. I dont remember what coffee they advertised on their board as I was in a hurry, but absolutely delicious! Customer service was top notch as well. I cant wait to go back! Thanks Island Savoy! ”
“ We love the sandwiches and staff! We often order then look through the store. Today we found beautiful flowers and dont overlook the front with beautiful tea towels and gifts like oven safe pottery made locally. Some things have a slightly higher price than you might find elsewhere but youre supporting our island and local family. And then there are things that are sold very cheap here, like Mexican cokes. Everything is more than fair and super tasty. Oh and dont forget to grab a frozen Shannons pie or quiche. They are outstanding and usually in stock. Thank you to the kind staff who makes our lunch and shows up pictures of their cats we love seeing them when you shop here youre shopping in a place that feels like they are your friends. If the show Cheers were a market if would be here. They might not actually know you, but youll think they do. ”
“ I have been here a few times mostly for a coffee and pastry. I have had their babka pastry, chocolate croissant and the yummy bacon and cheese pastry. What inspired me to write this review though is the service I received today. I called the store to ask if they had forbidden rice. The owner went and looked for me and they had it. But it gets better. As I was there I realized I needed some mirin for a dinner I was to prepare tonight. He said he didnt have any in the shelves. Then he said he could help me anyway. He went to the back at the sandwich service counter and had a big bottle of it for the food he prepares. He asked me how much I needed and handed me a paper bowl of mirin!! He, the owner, went out of his way like that was awesome. I will continue to patronize this market. Yay for local neighborhood businesses! ”
